It's been so long since I used this that I would like some reminder pointers please. Last time it didn't work to remove my directions turquoise and atlantic blue hair but i'm using it on some built up perm brown dye this time. I'm not dying afterwards either for at least a month or two, also i'm using the extra strength.

β€’ how long can I leave this on for?
β€’ should I clarify shampoo, don't condition and dry before using?
β€’ any other helpful tips that has been picked up since we first discovered this?

ahh I've put it on half an hour ago... the smell was not as bad as i was expecting. Ive been dying my hair carnation pink/red rose (also pink) for a year now! and though i love it its just too much to keep up on. so... I'm trying this to get back to my blonde hair.... its dyed blonde though my natural is a dark blonde. I hope it works...any tips if it doesn't? eek! x

HEAT IS KEY!!!

Blast it with the warm setting on your hairdryer for a bit to help it work.

If your hair has changed colour then it has worked: try a second box. Colour B4 won't necessarily strip everything out, especially not semi permanents, but it can remove enough to mean you need to use far less bleach afterwards.

*thx*Hello. Okay since im soooo over concerned about my hair, i just want certainty that it would work. I have dark brown hair, it was black but I lightened it a bit with Anti dandruff shampoo (by the way, it works to some extend). It reached the point that the Anti dandruff shampoo cannot take out more of the dye so now Im considering using this color B4. It is a new product to me so Im not sure if I trust it, but this reviews is quite amazing. I want to go blonde (eventually) but I know there is a "ginger" period that have to pass first.

First off: WILL THIS WORK?  I don't want to have brown patches on my head with ginger streaks or something like that.

Secondly: Once you reach the ginger stage, can you use something like ash blonde to even out the ginger color?

Thanx for reading, looking forward to your replies...

as long as your hair is black/brown from dye then yes it will work.

dont use any permanent dyes within atleast a week of b4ing, as the dye may reoxidise and send you back to black hair. so b4, wash heaps and heaps. then after a week, you can think about going lighter

This stuff would not lift Cherry Bomb for me, It got to a shade between neon pink and baby pink and stuck there, which I'd already wash faded it to over the space of about a month.

But then as it turned out, not even bleach baths could shift it.... I guess Cherry bomb has an Atomic Pink perma-base.

It worked wonders on the black box dye my sister had used though.....

Ahh, this stuff is so lovely. Where I live we have a version called "Color Oops" and it's saved my butt a few times. If you can bear the stench, it's worth it! Your blue hair turned out beautifully!

I have it in my turquoise/green hair right now wrapped up in cling wrap, and have about 50 min left on my 'hour' of processing. I'm very interested to see how much it takes out... I'm doing a bleach bath on Saturday, so I know I'm chancing it a bit, but I'll be rinsing like it's going outta style and trying another head and shoulders/bicarb fade session tomorrow depending on hos this goes....

UPDATE: It removed ALL the Directions turquoise! (before rinsing), after rinsing and adding a conditioner at the end to untangle the hair (almost felt like I was getting dreads), I'm left with various shades of blonde and green. So, even though I did follow all the steps per the instructions, I'm guessing I should have rinsed even longer before buffering....?

BUT, it got rid of enough so I can bleach again this weekend, so I should be ok.

The green is probably staining from the turquoise. So colour remover is unlikely to shift that.

Wanted to say Colour B4 lifted a LOT of my Stargazer Blue Black + Stargazer Tropical Green mix. It's not all gone, but it's turned very light. πŸ™‚ I've pictures.

Before :

After :

For me, that's a huge succes. πŸ˜€
