A little background first: I had diluted cerise on my hair. It was a gorgeous bright pink for about 6 weeks after which it started turning a salmony color due to my very yellow base. The lengths had some blue staining which when mixed with the fading pink turned purple and then bits went white/grey.
I did a bicarb mix which left me with very patchy yellow, grey, pink mess. This is what I had this morning.

in better light you can see it has blue, grey, silver, white, pink and yellow tones.

The pack contains the same as the other one, with the added pre-treatment.

I followed the instructions and wet my hair; applied the pre-treatment and left it on for 6 minutes overall. This worked wonders and I could see the pink coming out as I lathered it into my hair. It seems to be a more powerful claryfing shampoo. Since I had used the bicarb mix last week, my hair felt dry and horrible but this actually made my hair feel softer. I think the bicarb was still stuck in my hair and normal shampoo wasnt getting out.
This is what my hair looked like after drying the hair. As you can see, the grey, blue and some pink is already gone.

It actually looked a bit darker in real life.

I then applied the color B4 as normal and allowed it to develop for the 60 minutes. I used my phone to time the rinsing periods so I was sure it was washed out properly. After the buffer, I still had some pink areas so I used the little bit claryfing treatment that I had and that got out a bit more color. ( that wasnt part of the treatment but I didnt want to waste it)
I then conditioned and allowed my hair to air dry.

Most of the color is gone. My roots are the only parts that were too stubborn so I have about an inch on the top of light pink .

Overall, I would say this is a great product. I didnt notice the eggy smell as much, It strips semi dyes much better than the regular one and it doesnt dry the hair as much. The claryfing pre-treatment is amazing and if sold separately it would be a great way of fading color.
It is also a couple of pounds cheaper which is always a plus.

I've never really had a great result with color B4 so I am very pleased with this one. I cannot stress enough how amazing the claryfing pre-treatment is. I wish they sold it separately as it would make a hell of a fading tool.

I wonder if it's the same one they used to sell?  It used to be called 'B4 U Colour' (just to make it super easy to distinguish between the two!), and was basically a shampoo that was designed to lift the cuticle in preparation for any colour or chemical treatment.  It said on the bottle that it could be used to strip semi colour as well.  I found a pic of the box, in the middle:

I can't seem to find it on superdrug's website, and that's where I bought it from. Haven't seen it in store recently either, but maybe they still have it in boots?

I think I'm going to try it this weekend on hair that is significantly less faded than puerkz's - all in the name of SCIENCE πŸ˜€ (It's got Virgin Rose in it as well - the penultimate test after Atomic Pink!)

I never tried the B4 you color shampoo but I wish I had now. I could compare it that way. πŸ™
I'll see if I can find a bottle somewhere online. It does seem like a posibility.
