I just used Biolage Colorcare Delicate Care shampoo and masque and one or both completely stripped out the color from my hair (Ion color brights orange). The conditioning masque didn't even work as a conditioner. I subsequently found a review of these products on youtube by someone who gets her hair dyed red at a salon and after using this product her hairdresser noticed significantly more fading of her color after using this product. The yellow which I had just put in my bangs withstood the product but as I used the moisturizing masque right after rinsing out the dye I don't know what it would have looked like otherwise. This product does not moisturize and may strip your color so buyer beware.
Yes, I also used Biolage Colorcare shampoo upon dying my hair with Ion Color Brights (teal), and it stripped off half of my color within 2 washes. I bought the industrial-sized bottles, because I thought that the shampoo and conditioner would be just what I needed, so now I'm stuck with all this product that doesn't work at all for me. Now that I've been advised by fellow hair enthusiasts here, I use cone-free and sulfate-free products for a lot cheaper than Biolage.
I feel your pain! -r-
I bought it at Ulta and even asked the hairstylist's opinion too because I was debating between the two new Biolage product lines, a sulfate-free, paraben-free and silicone-free Delicate Colorcare and the new Exquisite Oil, also paraben-free. The stylist recommended the color care and also informed me that I could return it if I didn't like it, standard practice for any reputable beauty salon, so at least I got my money back.
