The Aussie reconstructor doesn't have much protein in it, definitely not keratin, but some hydrolized soy base protein (Lecithin) if I remember well. It also has some good ingredients for moisture (aloe vera and glycerin are both humectants) so it's hydrating too.

My only con with Aussie is how ladden with silicones most of their products are, although the 3 MM reconstructor is probably the less siliconey of their products.

I'm lovin' this stuff. It works like a true miracle if you use the generic joico re-constructor before, and my hair smells AMAZING!!

Popped into Boots earlier and thought i'd pick up a sachet to try. The 20ml sachet is Β£1.09 iirc but they had a 75ml trial bottle for Β£1.69 which works out much better so if anyone was thinking of giving it a go and like me finds the sachet doesn't have enough in it, the little bottles works out much better value for money.

I personally don't get along with this at all for some reason. I have an almost full bottle in the product swap thread. I would send it for free if someone paid for the postage, which shouldn't be too high within the UK. (Definitely under Β£3 which is the cheapest I've ever seen it). Obviously if someone wants to do a swap and has something to offer to me then I'd pay for the postage.

I love the aussie 3min miracle. It has 'moist' on the bottle now. I use  it as a deep conditioning when needed. I also use it in place of shaving cream. Yeah, I shave with it. Its way better and cheaper than the cans of girly shave cream. Leaves my legs moist and i almost never get cuts/razorburn etc. Its also great for shaving the naughty bits as its fairly transparent and i can see what im doing (landscaping lol) sorry if thats tmi...
sorry for the thread rez, but i had to share

I guess Im the only one not loving the stuff :/
I have very strange hair lol

I have "strange hair" too, but it is from the veggie dyes that anything I use that is not cone free makes it dirty looking and feeling.

I do like this stuff, but I cannot style my hair if I use it or it will look sticky and dirty πŸ™
But I do like it if I am going natural wavy for 4 days till my next wash πŸ™‚

another happy reviewer πŸ™‚ my hair is pretty damaged at the ends, and even after going to hairdresser's on monday they still looked really dry. used this this morning over the lengths of my hair and they look and feel so much happier! i was gonna fork out for k-pak to fix my hair but i may just use this for a while and see how it goes πŸ™‚

also, i really wouldn't describe the smell as bubblegum! it smells fairly chemically to me, but kind of in a nice way?

Use another deep conditioner once a week. K-pak probably wouldn't help anyway if your hair isn't gummy, but all aussie is doing is masking the dryness with silicone.

I use it and really like it, but I use it when my hair is being really unruly, like now with the humidity. But I'm aware that it's not really helping as such.

aw that's a shame! well i'll just stick to using it every so often when my hair is looking poop. i bought tresemme's split end repair hair masque and have used it a few times, but maybe it's just full of chemical nastiness too, i'm never sure about what i'm meant to look for on the ingredients list :/ but i read on here that the alberto balsam honey & almond intensive conditioning treatment is good & cheap too, so i might go grab some πŸ™‚ thanks for the heads up about k-pak probably not working by the way!

I prefer Alberto to Aussie, cheaper and more effective IMO but my favourite is Boots Coconut and Almond intensive hair mask. It's Β£1.99 for a big old pot and best of all, contains no silicones so if your hair feels better after using it, it's because it's ACTUALLY moisturised.

I can almost hear my hair sigh with relied when I use this. In fact, I might go and slap some on right now…
