I only tried Soak and Float and it totally ruined my scalp π I'm using a Ducray shampoo for severe dandruff and itchy/sensitive scalp but was trying to get away from it, so I gave it a try. First wash no problem, hair was clean and scalp didn't itch. Second time I used it my scalp was the worst it had ever been! It was terribly itchy, red and flakey. It hurt so much π it actually took WEEKS for my scalp to return back to normal. I've never experienced such thick and persistent dandruff...
Never doing that again :/
I used Trichomania and didn't think much to it, I got it to lather ok, but didn't like how my hair felt after, but my hair is awful even without any colour on.
I used the soak and float on my daughter as she had exzema on the scalp and I have to say it was better than the stuff the gp gave me.
Hello beauties =)
I work at Lush but have no experience with dyed hair since i just started! I used henna for years and that one fades away kinda quickly and i've never honestly saw differences with any Lush products.
Actually any Lush shampoo bar is for a different kind of hairtype/skintype and yes, as many of you noticed, soak and float is the most delicate one on the skin.. but i have no idea how colors reacts to that.
Most shampoos contain SLS, there are only 2 exceptions: Blousey and Curly Wurly.
Actually these two are my faves, they still contain chemicals but they're very gentle with dry hair. Blousey was created especially for colored hair so should be ok with dyes.
I'd suggest everyone to ask for samples in the store since these are pretty expensive anyway >__>
Edit to add: they contain ALS with is Ammonium Laureth Solphate. No idea if this can strip color out of the hair but should be better than SLS.
I use the Lush shampoo bars on my dreadlocks. My previous set was dyed quite a bit with veggie dye.
Squeaky Green - I love the smell of this one, it has tea tree, rosemary and nettle and is really good for settling down an irritated scalp, it's also ideal for new dreadlock itchies. I didn't find it too harsh for stripping hair dye.
Soak N Float - this one does smell unusual and you either love or hate the smell. It's usually ideal if you have any problems such as psoriasis or seborraric dermatitis (excuse the spelling) and I've also found that it's gentler than Neutrogena T-gel. Again I didn't notice any issues with stripping dye.
Karma - this has got patchouli in and is a bit of a hippy smelling one and is also my favourite. It is a little more softening but seems ok with hair dye. For anyone with dreadlocks I wouldn't recommend it in the early stages.
Seanik - this has sea salt, sea weed and lemon in. It has a nice refreshing feel on your scalp but I would imagine that it may not be the best one to use with hair dye, I haven't dyed my hair since I've been using it.
