I absolutely adore this stuff. Full review below.
Here is what it says on the tub: "Front: amika: nourishing mask. deeply conditions and repairs hair. With Sea Buckthorn Berry (Obliphica). For All Hair types. On the back: The Nourishing Mask deeply conditions and repairs hair. The natural ingredients in the mask penetrate the surface of the hair to get to the root, sealing split ends improving shine, elasticity and nourishment. safe for color treated hair. free of parabens, sulfates and artificial colors.
Directions: Either use as a weekly treatment or an everyday conditioner. In either case apply generously to the hair wait 2 to 3 minuets and rinse thoroughly."
I've been using this product for about 6 months now and I absolutely adore it. (originally got it as a sample in one of those monthly sample boxes.) when I use it I shampoo with my normal Sulfate free shampoo then slather this on all of my hair and leave on for about 10m and rinse with cool water. Towel dry then blow dry. It leaves my insanely dry hair down right silky. I bleached my hair twice in 24h a few weeks ago. (yes, i know that was a horrible idea but I was desperate) I was sincerely concerned that i was going to have to get a pixie cut due to the damage but put this on my damp hair and left it on over night and the results were fantastic. it went from seriously dry brittle hair to soft and manageable. i cant praise this stuff enough. The smell is a perfume-ish floral fragrance (not too sweet), that I love and my Boyfriend can't get enough of. He'll walk into the bathroom while showering and ask if I'm going to use my "special don't put my man hands on that bottle hair conditioner" lol (silly boy used it once and i was pissed.) It doesn't strip my color at all.
I use it once a week or so depending on how much I abuse my hair, styling, coloring, etc. I ordered the 500mL tub and have a little less than half left. (i have just past shoulder length hair in the front and just above Collier length hair in the back.)
The only bad thing I have to say about it is the packaging. I don't like shower/bath products that come in a tub. i prefer a bottle with a flip top lid. Only because I usually end up getting water in the jars. the 500mL size is a tub, they do offer a smaller size in a squeeze bottle but the 500mL is less cost per mL and I'm always one to get the better deal but in this case I think I'm going to order the bottle next time. Because, I will be reordering.
Anyway that's my 2 cents. Now back to work!
it sounds good! is it cone free? and where do you get it from?
Unfortunately it does have Behenoxy Dimethicone. It's considered to be a "gentle" cone because its considdered to be water soluble. I haven't had any build up issues with this but I also don't use it as a daily conditioner. I ment to mention something about that in the orig post.
I ordered off Amazon.com but I'm sure you can google how to get it in the UK, if thats where you are.
