Hi guys! So I took the leap and went blue velvet all over π It had great coverage and went a beautiful blue even over the parts that were gingery π I've attached a picture of how the base was. I'll post more pictures when I get home from vacation in USA π
Please excuse my silly face! ^^
Yay!!! I'm glad it worked for you π I loved Blue Velvet, it's a lovely rich colour - it lasted really well too.
Thank you! π yes it's incredible!
I love it! This is one of my favourite colours π
That is gorgeous!!! So happy it worked for you, too! π
Thank you all π I'm so grateful for all your advice that led to this π
Lovely π
Here are some pictures of how my hair faded:
1. This is after 1,5 weeks after dyeing. Washing the hair every other day with water in the US (it's very different from Sweden because it has chlorine in it). And excuse the face, I'm happy, I swear!
2. This is 3 weeks after dyeing (last day in the US).
3. In panic before work I threw on Directions atlantic blue over my very faded Blue velvet. It turned out okay but faded a very grey/green/yellow/purple. Not pretty! But by then my new tub of Blue velvet had arrived so no biggie π
Just wanted you all to know how it fades π
Water from the US has chlorine?I am never moving there *sob*
The fade is pretty awesome and i dont think that last pic was a bad colour either! π
Yeah I know it's crazy! And also when you order like coke or fanta and they use one of those "soda machines" they also contain chlorine (because the water source is local) and you can totally taste it if you aren't used to it!
Yeah the fade was kind of nice, but it didn't suit me as it went kind of "pastelly". π

Aren't you in the UK? UK uses chlorine in the water and has done for a LONG time.
I'm actually fairly sure Sweden does too.
ETA, yes, it does...

In fact, most developed countries do, and probably any that have a public water system use something, if not chlorine. We'd all be likely to get a lot more diseases if it wasn't used.
Yeah UK water definitely has Chlorine in it! It has other chemicals added to like Calcium and in some areas Fluoride, because in the past the UK water system has been used as a means of mass medicating the population! :S
Oh! Maybe we don't have as much as the US? Because I can't taste or smell it here as I could in, for example, Florida (it was intense there!).
I don't remember it tasting funny, but it was a while ago that I last went to Florida π
