Neon and Atlantic Blue Mix (update with fade pictures)

I had some slight Hulk ear going on this morning, but the camera wouldn't pick it up. Wasn't quite as Hulk-afied as when it's hair dying time though.

I know this post is a few months old, but LauraC do you happen to have any pictures of what your hair looked like when faded? 😀

Here's some fade pictures.
This time, I haven't used any colour save methods really. Usually I wash my hair once a week with SLS free shampoo, top up with dye in my conditioner, and then vinegar rinse. I also only used straighteners about once a week.
I last dyed about 4-5 weeks ago, not too sure. The first 2 washes, I washed with SLS free shampoo, and then vinegar rinsed (no conditioner dye top up)
For the next 2 weeks, I washed with SLS free shampoo once a week and also did a light conditioner only (no dye) wash once a week too.
The past 2 weeks, I've washed twice with a normal shampoo with SLS in, and also did one wash (yesterday) with head and shoulders and left that on my head for about 15 mins. I'm trying to fade ready for a new blue dye 🙂

Normally my hair colour would last a bit longer than this. Also, I've been blue for quite awhile now, so don't know if that helps the colour last longer.

We have very poor natural light here today, so I took 2 photos with the flash indoors, and then 2 photos without the flash, also indoors. The first 2 pictures are the ones with the flash.

Thank you so much for posting these! 😀 I really want to try blue at some point, but I'm a little worried about how it will look with my skin tone, because Im super pale. Even faded it looks really nice on you though!

Aw, thank you 🙂 Like I said, the colour usually last a lot longer than here, but because of changing dyes and needing to fade it it's faded quicker. The thing I love about this mix, because it's a mix of blues making a true blue, when it fades, it just fades blue rather than purple or green.

I think this mix with maybe a little more atlantic to neon would look great with pale skin. Even as I've done it (with more neon than atlantic) would look good. You can always try holding up some material in a similar colour up to your face and seeing how it looks. Or if you're any good at photoshop, try photoshopping a picture of yourself with blue hair, lol.

Cheers Sam 🙂 I switched to a midnight/turquoise mix like Pippa as Atlantic really rubbed off on my nails/fingers/face but I'm not loving it as much as the neon/atlantic mix. I can't quite get the ratio right. It could be that I've got roots going on as well which is ruining the overall look, I'm growing my hair though so not going to be doing my roots until end of March.

I think once I've used up this dye, I'm going to try the neon/turquoise mix that you suggested, if I'm not still loving that as much I'll probably go back to this mix and just have to cope with smurf hands, lol.

I really like this blue, smurf hands are worth it if you can get the perfect colour <g>
