Blue at last!

It's been a long and tiring journey lightening my dyed black hair up for Directions Atlantic Blue, but I finally did it today and I'm so, so pleased! I love it! πŸ˜€

Ignore the fluffiness - I blow dried it, which always makes my hair pluffy! There's actually no damage, it's super soft and lovely! (I had the last ends trimmed off after the final bleach session just to make sure that it would be in good shape!)

So, so happy. ^^

I like how the frizziness of your hair sort of blends the black and blue really smooth like. πŸ™‚
It looks nice.
But I bet you straighten your hair! >-> Damn you, hair straightening humanoids!

Haha, funnily enough, I used to straighten it a lot... at one point almost daily. Without heat protection, so it caused lots of damage. Before I even started bleaching, I lost 4 inches of hair to my hairdresser's scissors. πŸ™

Whilst it was being bleached, I decided not to straighten to give it a break, and actually began to kind of love my naturally very curly hair once again. Also, to make it more manageable whilst bleaching, it was cut quite straight at the bottom (pre-bleaching it was layered and feathery) and it looks pretty silly and severe haha! So I don't straighten it right now. I usually just let it dry naturally into curls, but I -really- wanted to see the colour result, so I clow dried it this time. =)

Thank you all for the lovely compliments. I'm absolutely in love with it already! I know I'm going to feel sad when it starts to fade, but I have two whole tubs left so plenty of top up material. πŸ˜€
