So as I have come to the conclusion that I will not be happy with any greens until I can get ahold of some Iguana Green by SFX, I adventured into blue! I also decided to try Crazy Colour as Directions fades VERY quickly for me, and while Manic Panic lasted [very slightly] longer, it's pretty expensive and the difference isn't worth it for me.
First was Bubblegum Blue
I really liked it(my wrist microdermals are in this picture, I love them) but because it's a pastelly shade it faded quick.
The faded colour was pretty with the flowers, which was at T in the park festival.
After using up all the tube, I decided to go for Sky Blue by Crazy Colour and give them another chance with a non-pastel shade.
It was pretty but in person looked slightly more indigo/purplish and I don't suit it as well. It's lasting great so far though!
So I'm at a slightly faded version of that final picture's colour and I'm not sure where to go. Stick with it or go for Pine Green or another slightly teal shade perhaps? I want something that matches my eyes pretty well as opposed to something that leans to indigo, but without being too green - any recommendations?
I think Peacock Blue might work for you. It's a lovely shade that's just the blue side of teal, and lasts quite well.
BUT the Bubblegum looks amazing on you! It really brings out your eyes. Would it be worth sticking with that even if the upkeep is a pain? You'd also be able to put Iguana over the fade really easily.
PS Liverpool? π I'm from Southport...I miss Merseyside so much x
I also think the bubblegum blue looks stunning on you, I think it's my favourite colour I've seen on you π and I agree about peacock blue, greeny bluey shades suit you.
(I realise I've basically said the same thing as Tabitha blue lol)
I really like the bubblegum at first but not so much after it's faded - parts of it went back to blonde even and it just didn't look that great. I was actually expecting the sky blue to fade to a similar shade of blue to that in the first picture I posted but it was a bit surprising π
I guess I might try it despite the difficulty with the upkeep. That or I could mix it with a bit of the darker one and see if it helps it last - whenever I've mixed colours they've faded much slower for some reason(not sure if anyone knows why).
My favourite shades on me are the mid to green blues, and the slightly yellower greens(but not so much the brightness - my favourite thing about Iguana Green is the olive-like shade it fades too). I think it's because one matches my eyes well and the other contrasts quite well with it.
PS also yes! I live slightly north of Liverpool, but slightly closer to there than to Southport (: I'll probably miss Merseyside when I move out but right now I wanna move away and experience another city or three.
Love these blues! That bubblegum blue goes great with your eyes.
If you want to switch colours, you're going to have a hard time getting sky blue to come out. You said it hasn't faded much, which is also what I experienced and eventually had to bleach bath and it still left a light blue. Not so bad when you want greens or other blues and teals, so you're fine. π
Good to hear other people about the sky blue sticking around! Since people usually say CC doesn't last and so far I've only used sky blue, but it sticks like mad.
the blue looks great on you!
If you're looking for another blue shade in the Crazy Colour, the Violette turns out blue, rather than purple, the bottle is misleading but it take son a nice blue shade that i think would look great on you! :-*
Hmm.. Voilette by crazy color had so far been very purple for me though. I diluted it heaps to get a pastel shade and it was nowhere near blue. Be careful with adding purple if that's not what you want.
I don't think I'll go for violette just because I want to keep my blues purple-free since I don't think I suit it π I love some of the purples I've seen though, so it's a shame I don't like them on myself.
I think I'm going to go for the peacock blue once I've had this blue for a while - it'll take time for this to fade enough, and it'll probably be easy for iguana green to go over peacock in the future, too. Thank you for the advice guys! It'll be a little while but I'll probably just post the result in this thread when it happens.
I have some MP green envy left over but I don't know if I'll ever want to use it or not. I used it for mixing and the results of it on it's own seem way more mixed than most dyes I've used/looked at.
