I plan on dying my hair lilac & deep purple this summer and it will be my first time bleaching my own hair. I keep reading about Schwarzkopf Live Color Xxl and how you can use that to get your hair light instead of an actual bleach kit. But I live in the US and I can't seem to find that anywhere. Is there a good place to buy it or an alternative US brand that works just as good?

Before I started using actual bleach to do my roots, I used a box blonde which, I think, is similar if not the same to XXL Live. I used Revlon Colorsilk in the lightest blonde the store sold. It was nice and gentle on my hair. I would recommend it if you want to stay away from mixing your own bleach.
Just follow the directions and be patient. If I remember, I had to leave mine in almost the max amount of time the directions said but I have fairly dark brown hair naturally.

I'm not sure but here in Aus the blonde dyes from schwarzkopf are nordic blonde dye kits - I've used them before, they are pretty good. Don't know if it's the same in the US.
