Alright so I appreciate the tutorial on white hair in the FAQ, however there are a lot of different hair types so I don't think one thread should be the end of the white hair discussion. I've already tried Manic Panic and it literally did nothing.
Different people do different things to achieve white hair and I'd like to know any and everything about how it is achieved. Whether it be in your own home or in the salon.
The best thing that I have found so far is Wella Color Charm T18 toner. It made my hair slightly gray but after a few washes it turned white and I was so happy BUT the white faded after a couple of washes and it went back to just plain old bleach blonde.
I see people with this amazing snow white hair and there has to be a way to accomplish this.
I prefer to use products that I don't have to order from overseas (I'm in the US) so that I don't have to wait forever but I will try anything.
Any suggestions would be much appreciated!

The secret is a well bleached base, so it is even and has minimal yellow. Then constant toning. No toners, even oxidative ones like Wella colour Charm are permanent, and white hair will always pull towards yellow because of enviromental pollution and natural grease. So to stay white you have to tone every time you wash.

Thank you for the reply. How do I achieve a well bleached base? There's no way I can tone every time I wash. I mean I have the purple shampoo but yeah.

You can use purple shampoo and conditioner, or add some dye to your regular conditioner and use every time you wash.
As for your base, it depends on what you have now. If there is too much yellow it won't tone easily and will need to be lightened further if it is in good enough condition. You want an even pale cream, like the inside of a banana.
