Successfully removing Henna/Indigo

I tried everything to get Light Mountain medium Brown henna/indigo out of my hair.  I faded it slightly with dish soap/ baking soda, honey. I used Color Oops and it barely budged. I used Color remover by L'Oréal which contains bleach. That is a big No-no for henna/ indigo hair. Afterward I had green and gold hair with pale yellow roots (where the henna had grown out some). When I saw the disaster I had created the only thing I could think was that I needed to tone that green with a red tone. I happened to have some manic panic Infra Red under my sink so I went for it. The results were surprisingly pleasing. The direct dye corrected the mistake:)
