Hi was hopeing for some advice please. In the last two weeks ive stripped my hair twice so gobe from a dark brown to a gingery brown colour which is lighter on the roots. I want to go lighter, no blonde all over maybe like cheryls hair in her new i dont care video, that type of thing. Im doing it myself as havent the time to go to hairdressers but im confussed as to what to do next. I dont want to use bleach as wouldnt trust myself lol! So my plan was to put a light ash blonde over this gingery colour in about 2 weeks time then after about2 weeks put a ombre kit over it then!
Will this work? My fear is that if i out colour on it it will gl back dark!
Also i can only find a dark ash blonde in a semi permenant!
Am i best to use anything else to get the gingery/brassyness out first ?
I havent a clue what im doing really please any advice would be much appreciated:)

Before and after

Putting a blonde box dye over this base will just make it slightly lighter and more gingery. To tone out the brassiness you can make a blue toner by diluting blue dye in conditioner.
When you say you have stripped your hair, do you mean you have used a colour remover on dyed dark brown? If so it may be worth trying a third round.
If you can post a pic of the colour you are aiming for that would help too.

blonde box dyes are nothing more than bleach with a little bit of color being deposited. As for the ombre kits, they are full on bleach and not good bleach at that.

I would do as wicked pixie suggested and use color removers again.

Thank you for your replies 😃. Yes itscolour removals ive used the jobazz extra strength twice.
Whats blue dye as in what type of dye and where do i buy it from please?
Something like this im aiming for but my hair just seems to be going darker again even though im using baby shampoo and anti dandruff shampoo. So will dark ash blonde semi do nothing then?

A dark ash blonde will lift your current colour a little, but your current colour is too dark for the blonde tones it will deposit to actually show, so it will just be more ginger.
I would do another round of JoBazz to make sure all the old colour is out.
Then you will need to lighten your hair to a shade at least as light or one shade lighter than the colour you want. It is easier to lighten with bleach, you have more control and it will be less damaging. Then you can add the ash blonde tones, a box semi/28 wash/demi permanent with a low volume peroxide will be better than a permanent dye on pre lightened hair.
It isn't going to be easy, dark permanent dyes can stain, so you may not be able to get as much of the orange out as you would like.
If your hair is darkening, it could be the dye is re-oxidising which can happen after colour removers. Keep washing and rinsing thoroughly.
To tone you can use a blue direct dye such as the ones sold on this site. Directions Neon Blue is good or Special Effects Blue Velvet. You just add a tiny amount to your conditioner and leave it on until it is the shade you want.

Id be really scared to bleach my hair , ive only ever used box dyes. So why would i use a toner is that instead of bleach? Sorry ive never gone light before ive always been dark so its all new to me. So if i dont bleach , should i try jobazz again the tone it then add ash over it then?

Sorry to confuse you lol.
Blue toner is if you want to make the colour that you have now less brassy, more ashy.
If it were me i would do at least one more colour remover, then gently bleach the hair to at least level 8, then use an ash dye that is violet based to achieve that shade of blonde. You will still need to use toner (probably violet rather than blue after you have bleached and dyed)
You will need to wait at least a week after the colour remover before bleaching, and ideally a month between bleaching and dyeing, so it is a slow process if you want to avoid damage.

Level 1 is black, level 10 is platinum blonde, so a level 8 is a dark blonde. Google it, there are loads of charts showing the levels hair goes through as it lightens.
TBH what you are attempting (especially if you want that ombre/balayage effect) is quite complicated. It may be easier to go to a salon if you are inexperienced with dyeing your own hair.
