Okay so lemme tell y’all a greek tragedy that is my hair. I got my hair dyed professionally and it was a blonde balayage, okay cool loved it. then in october i tried to be cool and dye my hair myself pink with arctic fox k cool then in november i was like ok spoopy season is over and it’s cold let me dye it to my natural hair color so i did that and it was only demi permanent and of course done professionally and as my dye faded slowly but surely i was left with the blonde from my balayage. COOL! because i wanted to dye my hair blonde in april but then i had a mental breakdown and got bored and dyed it once again by myself with arctic fox purple rain. then i got tired of it and i decided i wanted it out before dying it blonde in a couple of weeks so i decided to use color oops bc i’m obviously a very smart person when it comes to hair dying. so my question is when i go blonde in a couple of weeks will it reoxidize and go back to fucking purple or will i be okay or should i just dye it brown bc like right now it’s brown or should i just leave me hair alone and accept the fact that i have ruined my hair and i should just not touch it until the dyed part is long enough to cut off. if someone could let me know it would be amazing thanks
I'm a bit confused what happened after the color oops? In what way is it ruined? What color is it now?

oh it’s back to my natura hair color which is dark brown but what i keep seeing/reading is that if u bleach ur hair after using it it will go back to what ur hair was dyed (for example mine was purple) and I don’t know if i’m just dumb and I’m fine or what
Yes, it can. I just couldn't work out what the result was from the color oops. You mentioned brown, it just seems odd that it's that colour from bleached blonde to purple. I would expect it to be blonde rather than brown, color oops can't remove bleach, bleach is only ever permanent. So, is the brown dyed or am I still confused?
It's impossible to say if it'll reoxidate though. It might, it might not. The most likely thing though, if it's not reoxidated in two weeks it shouldn't do. It would be a good idea to wash it several times with hot water though to try and make sure all the dye is washed out.
Oh, and I'm still confused in what way your hair is ruined? Is it damaged? Your answer informs my answer of the best thing to do 🙂
In my defence, I'm a bit ill at the moment, so I might be getting extra confused. I get a lot of brain fog when I get a cold!
My hair is naturally dark brown, but then around this time last year I got a balayage. Then in October dyed it pink, and a month later dyed it dark brown. As time went on, it seemed to get lighter to when I used to have the balayage.
I don’t think necessarily my hair is ruined, I just know that I have put it through a lot this year. Definitely dyed it more than I would have ever before.
I hope you feel better! I’m sorry if the first post was confusing, I was writing it in the middle of me worrying about my hair
Arctic fox is a direct dye so your hair will not go back to purple. It is impossible for it to reoxidise as it was never oxidised in the first place. Direct dyes work as a stain rather than molecules being deposited into the hair like permanent and demi dyes do.
