Should I use toner or dye?

My hairs naturally medium golden blonde - been mixing Adore French Cognac with conditioner every 2 weeks to get an bright strawberry blonde. Did some highlights, trying for rose gold, which much of it did, but surprisingly more of it turned a crisp, bright pale blonde...which now I'm really into lol.

I used blue based beach with 30vol so I'm gonna do that all over but if I decided I want the rose gold bits to be pure blonde...should I try a toner? In the past neither Wella t18 nor MP Virgin Snow have done very much...if I'm trying to lift the pigment should I just dye with a light blonde??

I wouldn't use blonde box dye as a toner, the results are difficult to control and it's damaging.

If you want to tone after you bleach your hair you can make your own toner out of a teeny bit of purple dye in conditioner to tone out the yellow. As you are fully bleaching your hair you need to leave it for at least a month (I would wait as long as possible) before using  processing your hair again.

Are you bleaching the previous highlighted bits again? Be careful of their health, you don't want to fry them!

Basically I did a few big chunky streaks in front so I'm planning to slather them in conditioner then put them in foil so they don't get touched by the bleach...

I'm puzzled yet excited because I tried to go white blonde before with no success but I was always starting with trying to remove auburn or red dye first. This time my hair is mostly natural, and there are a few streaks right now even pre-toning that are nearly white!

I realized the pink is really just from leftover French Cognac so I'm going to spend the week washing with head and shoulders to fade that before bleaching again

30 volume seems a bit excessive for natural medium golden blonde hair; I'd switch it out for 20 volume and do a strand test to see how long it takes to process. Bleaching hair to white or near white is never a good idea. You should strive for pale yellow (think inside of a banana peel) and then use a toner to get it to white.
