lightens faster?
My hair is three different shades of blonde:
--the top 1/4 is virgin dark blonde,
--the next section is two or three shades lighter
--and then the last 1/3 is a shade darker than the previous. (I had a $200 bleaching mishap at a salon 10 months ago)
I want a (reasonably) even result! Thanks for the replies! *1*
Which shade is the one you want? You need to do a fairly complicated colour correction, you will need help if you decide to do it at home. The first cm of roots will lighten quicker than the rest of the virgin hair. The only way to be certain how quickly everything will lighten is to do strand tests and keep notes. It is hard to advise without a pic but if i were doing it i would probably apply to the virgin hair first, avoiding the roots. Then add bleach with a lower volume peroxide to the darker ends, and cover with foil. Then apply the original mix to the roots. The timing will depend on your test strand results. I wouldn't use anything higher than 20 vol, and probably only 10 vol on the ends, this will give you a reasonable amount of time to apply it all.
