so im going to be refreshing my red hair with cherry bomb but i was wondering if i should use loreal hi color like i usually do? the last time i used it it didn't lift as much as i wanted it to and the first time i used it i dyed my roots three times because i kept missing sections of dark brown/black roots i didnt come out so it came out nice because of repeated dying

or should i bleach my hair? the last time i bleached my hair was 4 years ago and i already forgot everything i did?

if bleach can anyone recommend a brand of bleach from sally's? im located in the US, do not have access to a cosmetology license, and currently dont have the money to buy the nicer brands online.
please and thank you
also what level should i lift my hair for the red to apply evenly

im a 1-2 in the chart(i have dark brown/black roots) so what number or shade should they be?

I'm going to sound blunt here. Save up some cash so you can buy a good bleach powder (you can save on the peroxide), it's VERY important to use a good powder. Secondly, do you have a friend that can do the roots for you. Doing anything with peroxide in three times in a row is terrible. You don't need to lift any higher than a ginger, so you can use a low peroxide.

What bleach do you recommend? I've seen people talking about blondme and matrix I think and I don't have one that lives near me and my mother is hopeless with hair I have very thick and so much hair so I was just going to do them in two sets like some people recommend here

I've heard good things about the Age Beautiful Creme lightener (bleach) and I use the Ion Color Brilliance Powder lightener and am pleased with it. Both of those are available at the US Sally stores; no license is required to purchase them. You might be able to get away with 10 volume developer if you are only lifting to orange.

Big fan of Joico Creme Lightener, you can get a 300g tube in the US for about $15-20 I think. I have waist-length hair I've been slowly bleaching the remnants of XXL Bitter Chocolate out of the ends and while it's obviously roughed up the cuticle a bit, I've never had to trim off damage.
With the heat from your scalp I think you'll get to a ginger with a 10vol peroxide on about half an inch of root (I use a half-and-half mix of a 20vol bleach mix and conditioner and it lifts my level 4 roots to yellow-gold surprisingly fast!). And always saturate your hair with coconut oil for a couple of hours before you bleach, don't wash off the oil!
