Shall I bleach bath now?

I just went back to your old thread, I hadn't seen your last message in there about the dye you had used or I would have answered there before, sorry. You've been using directions turquoise or alpine I guess (you didn't say which colour) both can be pretty permanent on most people and it's next impossible to get past the stage you're at. Trust me, I know, been there several times just using it once and you've been using it for 1.5 years! There's definitely buildup even with trims etc.

You might have luck with the oils shampoo and bleach powder that I mentioned before. That would be better than a bleach bath. As I said before, they are the last resort after you've tried everything else. They can drive the colour further into the hair and make them even harder to remove.

As I said before though, if it's a dark grey you want, it'll be fine over what you have a long as you dint mind a cool blue tone to the grey.

I've done 2 x vitamin C treatments and an oil treatment and its faded considerably but I've seen people bleach bath it from darker than mine with the same dye as me as it's lightened it loads.

I'm not saying it never works, but it's risky and not worth the amount of damage it causes normally. At the risk of sounding overly dramatic, if you don't mind possibly losing most of the length of your hair, then go ahead.

Thank you for all your help. I might do a very diluted bleach bath for short time and I have left my hair to grow before doing this so that I can cut an inch or so off afterwards.

Just letting you know, I dyed it grey with a grey hair dye and it's gone a navy blue/grey colour. I do love it but I'm hoping it'll fade to a slightly more grey tone. I love it either way.

It's really nice, I like it when grey pulls more towards blue than the ones that pull towards a dingy browny grey.
