Provoke colour remover

Hi guys. Just wondering if anyone has used the provoke hair colour remover and care to help me out with an issue I'm havinh. My hair has been black for months now, i was only filling in my roots when I had to because after a bleach disaster years ago I've tried to baby it to grow it all back.
The other day I decided I'd had enough of the black and went out looking for my usual jobazz but came across the provoke on offer and the girl in the shop told me she'd just tried it and it worked as well as the jo bazz, so I grabbed 2 knowing I'd have to probably do 2.
Last Saturday I did 1 which lifted out almost all of it but my poor ends were jet black still while the rest was a copper colour I could happily stick with without messing. Sunday I did the 2nd one and it took the black out and left the ends a sort of muddy brown but my hair is long enough that tied back you can't tell and I'm in no rush to dye over it so I just chucked on some aussi and went on my way.

Anyway, I've washed my hair today and apart from still feeling a little dry before I washed it it has seemed ok. When I got out of the shower it seemed really gummy and stretchy and I've never had that happen before with a colour remover  ๐Ÿ˜ฎ it feels horrid like I've bleached it a few times in 1 go. I don't know if my hair was maybe a bit on the dangerous side beforehand or if I should have gone for jobazz like normal? It hasn't seemed in bad shape though which is why I am really confused. I'll add that it was permanent black I was using so perhaps my products have been masking damage?
Has anyone had this happen with a colour remover or even with this pro voke one?
I don't have time to do a coconut oil soak till the weekend so I'm leaving it well alone till then. Does anyone have any suggestions?

I have used ProVoke several times, and IME it is less drying than JoBazz.
You mentioned that you used Aussie, their products are very silicone heavy. I think the colour remover has stripped away the layers of silicone that were masking the damage, revealing the true condition of your hair.

Mhmm. I'll add I don't actually use aussie stuff as my usual product I bought it specifically for this process.. I'm an Alberto balsam girl and I use coconut oil after I've washed my hair but you could be right. Now that it's past shoulder length I've been straightening it which can't help.
It's still really dark on the ends which means anything other than a dark brown is out of the question. I like adore mocha but I was hoping for something lighter in all honesty. Are we thinking stop while I'm ahead and just go for the adore at the weekend and then just baby it for a while? I think part of me knew the ends wouldnt budge. Ever since I first used decolor remover and it reoxidised the ends of my hair have just eaten colour :'(

I would definitely baby it for now and reassess the condition in a few weeks.
With stubborn dyes doing a brief bleach bath can often open up the cuticle to allow subsequent colour removers to penetrate better.
Even regular fading treatments in between can get a lot of colour out, but obviously all fading treatments are tough on fragile hair so it is all dependant on how your hair feels after some deep conditioning.

Ok I went to my hair dresser in a panic and it turns out my hair is fine lol! It was a bit dry so she took about an inch off the length and more of the layers and did a deep condition for me. I have also done a nice coconut oil soak and it feels lovely again so I must've just overreacted ๐Ÿ™ but hey, the last time I messed with my hair I had to have it cut into a pixie so... Anyway it's made me rethink the provoke. It's not reoxidised which is a first for me! I'm going to baby it a bit more this week and then try a bleach bath to hopefully lift the ends up. I have some bleach knocking about somewhere I think it's 30 vol so ill be coconut oiling my hair the night before. If I can get it up enough I'm gonna try mix up a copper brown with what I have knocking around. So yeah panic over for now thanks for your help!!

I wouldn't try and bleach the colour out, i possibly would do a quick bleach bath, then go for another colour remover. 30 vol is pretty harsh, I would dilute by half with shampoo to make a bleach bath. You could try a strand test with colour remover to see if it will lift more before doing anything with bleach.
