Please help, uneven bleaching :(

Hi! Sorry for the wall of text, will try and explain this as briefly as I can

It's been about 9-10 months since I last bleached my roots, when I did it previously I was dying fairly dark colours so I was only doing light bleach baths at that time. Yesterday I did my roots, as I wanted to go medium pink I just bleached this time, no bleach bath. After putting in on my roots I put it on the rest of my hair hoping it would lighten it all to the same level but my hair is so long at the moment it took ages so I was wanting to wash it off the roots by the time I was done with the lengths so some of the lengths only had the bleach on for about 5 minutes and I've been left with some much darker streaks, mostly on the underneath where my hair is naturally darker and there was a slight tint of the old dark green left

I know processing hair again within such a short space is a big no-no but would I be ok spot bleaching the darker bits in about a week as the bleach was on there for such a short space of time? Or should I just put some darker streaks of dye in to try and cover it up, would purple work?

Normally I wouldn't be fussed but I'm getting married in a couple of weeks so want to fix it as best as I can!!

How dark are the dark patches? Can you post a photo?

Unfortunately, you did it the wrong way around. You should have done the lengths, then the roots. They lift faster because of the heat from the head.

Yeah, I realised that as I've been thinking about it this morning. It's been way too long since I was properly into all this stuff xD

Sorry the lighting/pictures are kind of bad but hopefully this gives you some idea?

I normally wouldn't recommend it, but as its your wedding then I'll suggest this. Spot bleach the darker patches with a bleach bath (making sure you've put coconut oil on first) to a ginger and then go a mid purple on those patches. At the moment you'd have to use a really dark purple to cover the depth of colour there.

You really risk frying it if you use anything stronger than a bleach bath (even that is pushing the boundaries) and fried hair will look far worse on your big day! Besides, purple and pink look gorgeous together and more interesting than flat colour, so will look fab in your photos πŸ™‚

Thank you!

Would Special Effects Pimpin Purple be a good one to use? Or any other suggestions?
