Perhaps 'silly' questions about ColourB4...

Hey everyone, I'm having a little trouble deciding what I should do with my hair, I've been dying it dark brown/purple with the use of Schwarzkopf XXL/various other box dyes and am now considering going lighter.
I've heard that ColourB4 doesn't always work on Schwarzkopf colours because of the way it stains the cuticle, has anybody had any good/bad experiences?
Also, I'm a little apprehensive about using ColourB4 on my regrowth, I'm quite a light blonde naturally and I'm a little nervous about using it on my roots in case it damages the 'virgin' hair, has anybody else used it on light coloured roots?
*thx*

Colour removers only take out artificial pigments, so your virgin roots won't be affected. There is no need to put the product on your roots if they dont have dye on them, which will be good for your scalp.
I managed to get XXL out with Colour B4, but it is harder (and sometimes impossible) to get out if it has been used repeatedly and in conjunction with a lot of high heat styling.

Thank you! Was just a little worried since I didn't know how it would affect it if I did get any on my roots. I don't use high heat styling a lot anyway, so I'll give it a go!

If you don't use very hot straighteners/curling irons, then you should be able to get it out.  I got out several years of XXL build up with one Colour B4 Extra Strength (left on for an hour).  The problem with XXL dyes is they have a silicone delivery system.  When you use very high levels of heat on this type of dye, it boils the silicone right in to the hair shaft, permanently bonding it to the hair.  When that happens, nothing--not a colour remover, not even bleach--will take it out.  It must be cut off.

Thank you so much, I did a strand test and was impressed by the results :] currently awaiting the arrival of a few tools from the BeeUnique website to do the whole lot. I think whoever created this website deserves a medal, I've only been on here a couple of days and have already learned so much about hair!!

I removed years of XXL black successfully with Colour B4 Extra Strength too, just for added reassurance. I used straighteners and hair dryer occasionally as well.
