Over bleached my roots. How do I tone them down?

Hey guys, I'm new here. I came across this forum and thought it would be a good place to seek advice.

Today I attempted to touch up my roots and ended up leaving the bleach on for much longer than I should have. My roots ended up being pure white, whereas the rest of my hair is a medium blonde color. I had about 2 inches of regrowth prior to bleaching so its a very noticeable contrast. Needless to say, it does not look good, and I have a formal event to attend in two days and definitely do not want to show up looking like this.

How can I tone down the roots so they match the rest of my hair? Any help is super appreciated!

Thanks in advance!

A semipermanent blonde dye would be a good option to make the roots blend with the rest of your hair. You want to add some colour back in to the roots, and a semi dye is the best option for your hair as you don't want to add more damage.

Super drug do a range of blonde toners, there are other brands that make them as well (hopefully one of the members who is more knowledgeable on blonde dyes will chime in here as I can't remember what the others are just now).

A demi dye which uses a very low volume of peroxide could also be an option, but its best to wait a month between processing so I would suggest finding a warm blonde toner to use until you can process again.

Thanks for the advice! Was about to buy a demi last night but unfortunately Sally's closed early.

So I was bad and ended up buying a medium blonde box dye from the drugstore  it ended up working perfectly and my roots and ends blend seamlessly now.

Probably not the best thing for my hair but I definitely couldn't go to my event looking like this. My hair seems in okay  condition from what I can tell.... fingers crossed.
