Orange and White

My highlighted brown hair has turned orange with white highlights.

Purple shampoo made the orange stick out even more.

My concern with blue shampoo is that it will make the white ashy and dark.

Purple shampoo is for neutralising yellow.  To neutralise orange you need blue.  Since your highlights are quite chunky you could try applying the blue only to the orange parts?

Your picture looks like brown and blonde to me.

This is what I saw when I went to put my hair in pigtails. Bunch of brown and orange. Did this area not dye or was it skipped? I don't know

Maybe it looks brown in the picture but all I'm seeing is orange and I'm not happy about it.

No more salons for me. My hair looks to me like I tried it myself, missed spots, and uneven coloring.

What do you want it to look like?

Well she was suppose to be breaking up the chunky highlights but I still have two different colors going on blonde wise and now orange.

I have a friend that is a licensed hair stylist but she has been focusing on family lately and I couldnt get ahold of her for awhile. She did just get back to me and we are going to do this ourselves. Going for one natural soft blonde all over. Highlights do not work with my style I wear my hair, I don't have time to blow dry in the morning and so you see the bold distinction of highlights. I just need some consistency all one color get the highlights out. I asked for bayalage...got heavy foil highlights.

Going for this or close as we can get to it.

It looks to me like the orange could be where she covered the blonde with a brown dye that has faded? As we discussed on one of your other posts, brown dyes over bleached hair can turn orange or green depending on whether they have a warm or ash base and as they fade this becomes more apparent.

As your hair has had various dyes on it I would recommend that you use a colour remover before doing the overall blonde colour or you may get unexpected results where there is currently colour in your hair.

Please can I ask that if you wish to add to posts in future that you use the modify button? It is against the rules to double post and means that we have to keep merging your posts for you. Thank you!

Sorry will modify.

Yes the brown lowlights are where the orange is. I think part of the problem is the girl didn't put a strong enough lift on and there's a lot more dark brown in the back where no dye was put on at all it seems. I'm waiting to hear back on a refund or partial because I paid $130 for her to blend out the highlights and it just turned my brown into orange and spotty brown.
My friend who will be working on my hair sometime this weekend or next took me from black to blonde years ago so I'm very hopeful she can sort this mess out for me. I just wish I was able to get in contact with her a month ago 😕
