Hi Everyone!
Have been lurkin the forum for months but decided to join as I have a question.
I ombre'd my hair about 10 weeks ago, I went from really dark base 5/4 hair with some tints of red in and managed to get the ends of my hair to a lovely honey colour. Now I decided to take it higher, I haven't had any permanent dye on my roots since december but I didn't want to take the blonde right upto my roots. My natural colour is a dark blonde colour so I was especially hesitant to get it on the roots as I knew it would go too light. Anyway, I've taken it higher but it's slightly brassy in the top section. My question is, do you think it's light enough to be able to get rid of it with purple shampoo? Do you think I should give the bleach another go (used a Wella Blondor beach and 20volume 6% developer) it wouldn't be going to my ends just the top section? Or can I put a tint over it? If so what shade? I don't want to be mega blonde I just like the honey/caramel colour.
I have a Sally's trade card so have access to professional products (probably a bad thing!) I have included pictures
I'm aware this side of my head has a very obviously line of bleach which I also need to fix -
My hairs not in too bad condition I've been using a lot of coconut oil and after bleaching I have used the Palmers Coconut Oil protein mask followed by intensive conditioner.
Thanks in advance!
You can try a purple shampoo or maybe even a diluted blue dye. I've never used a blue toner myself but i think your color is too dark for the purple to really make a difference.
You should really wait at least a month before using any more bleach, even if your hair feels in good condition.
