Firstly a quick rundown: August 2015 Bleached hair with 40vol (I know naughty naughty) from dyed Black obviously it was patchy ginger yellow etc.
June 2016 dyed bright red with xxl (can't remember the shade)
July - September 2016 faded out the red until it was just pink tinges and dyed with a semi permanent mahogony
Not dyed hair since now i have my natural dark brown roots and very very faded mahogony lengths.
How do I start going blonde ? I want a honey type blonde but obviously the roots need lifted would 30vol lift dark brown ??
Any recommendations please ? Thank you

Colour removers to remove the last of the dye. Never, ever bleach dyed hair until it's the only option left.
For the roots, 30vol with a really good quality bleach will lift your roots. Good chance you only need a 20vol to be honest. When you have a good quality bleach (blondor or Blondeme for example) the bleach works harder and more effectively and yOu don't need as strong peroxide.
Also. Keep in mind, it's not always possible to remove all the staining if you have staining, so have an alternative you'll be happy to have if it starts to look like you aren't going to be able to acheive your goal.
Lastly, 40 vol is something you should never use. I know you acknowledge it's bad, but it's not even because of how damaging it is. Its actually the likelihood of causing serious chemical burns it has!
