lightening before colour b4?

Hey guys.
I was wondering if i lighten my hair before using colour b4 will my results be a bit more even? Ive used colour b4 alone in the past and it came out very multi coloured, light blues, pinks, green and blonde lol which was fun but not what I'm looking for.

I want to dye my hair teal from purple.
Thank you!
Any other advice welcome!

You should always use colour b4 and other colour removers instead of lightening products which aren't made to remove dye pigments. So, use the colour remover up to three times. At that point you can look at other ways of removing the left over staining.

Teal is very forgiving though, you should get a nice result on an uneven base, especially if it's a mix of pastel colours.

Thank you! I have pravana violet in my hair atm but its faded very uneven haha so wondering how the colour before will go. This is how it went before with 2 colour b4 uses.
How long after the colour b4 should i wait to dye the teal?
Any recommendations on teal dye?

Thanks again!!!

As long as the dye is a direct dye then you are good to go, no need to wait. (That only applies to oxidative dyes)

Thank you!
I was just worried cause the last time i used a crazy color purple on it maybe a day or 2 after the second colour b4 and i ended up with purple roots, red lengths and purple ends haha!! The pravana covered it but now it fades to purple roots, browny silvery purple length and purple ends haha!

Just make sure you have washed/rinsed all the old dye out after the colour remover. Use hot water and keep the hair moving. The rinsing is the most important part. You can then put some developer on a strand to see if it will re-oxidise
