Hi there. So i have a predicament. Last night i used provoke colour remover. I usually use decolour removee or colour b4 but this one was 2.99 so for three boxes its a no brainer. The last 3 nights i have used it to lift the black out of my hair (one box a night) it has lifted well its now a darkish brown and lighter (gingery) at the root area. Anyways tonight im hoping to use decolour stripper. Have used it before with good results and little damage. Upon rereading the provoke instruction leaflet it says not to recolour for 4 weeks. 4weeks!!! Does this apply to bleach and therefore colour stripper too? End result i am just wanting a gingery colour to apply directions dark tulip over. Any advice appreciated!

You shouldnt use anything with peroxide or the black may reoxidise.

I have always bleach bathed after using colour b4 and not had any issues. Just wondering why the provoke says 4 weeks?!

I had never even noticed it says that! As long as you rinse like crazy with hot water you won't need to wait that long. I would wait until the hair and scalp have built up some natural oils before bleach bathing, but you can check that you have rinsed enough by applying some developer to a strand. If it doesn't darken you are good to go.

Thanks. Tried the de colour stripper and it has not made much of a difference at all! Looks like I will be bleach bathing next week. Am I best to use a 20 vol twice or one 30 vol?
