...that isn't foil or clingfilm?
I have an undercut at the back, and I prefer not to dye it. Now I'm single I have no one to help me dye the back of my hair and I need to bleach my roots. Is there anything I can put over the undercut to protect it from getting bleach on it? I've experimented with cling film and foil but they're not really doing much. Bleach will eat through conditioner - what about Vaseline?

Vaseline used thickly will work. It'll be a swine to remove though! You also have to be really careful not to get it on the rest of your hair. It'll be tricky, but def possible 🙂

Yeah to get the vaseline out you might have to use oil, then conditioner to get the oil out - going straight in with soap won't touch it! That's what I did to get greasepaint out of my hair when I had a stupid overzealous fancy dress idea!

I had a nightmare time once when my husband put Vaseline around my hairline at the back but put a big glob of it in my (pre-undercut) hair by mistake :-/ It's only a grade one though so hopefully it won't be TOO awful...
