Hello, just looking for a little bit of advice as im slightly stuck on what to do.
Just to give a bit of background info my hair is naturally black but i bleached it about a year ago. After one bleach it went bright orange, another bleach took it to an uneven yellowy orange. This only lasted a few weeks and then i box dyed the top half back to black and then had blue underneath. Since the initial dying I upkept the black and blue until about a couple of months ago where I just let it fade. The blue section became a yellowy green and red tones started to show in the black.
I now typically want to go back to orange. So today i used 3 lots of the max effect Colourless hair colour remover in the hopes that it would get me a nice orangey colour. I was pretty surprised with the results. The top lengths of my hair went orange with the mid lengths and ends going a darker browny orange. Good start.
I then made a big mistake..i stuck a box of xxl mango twist on it. I didn't know about reoxidation beforehand..but now i really do. My hair has gone back to a dark brown but with an insane reddish tint to it.
Basically..what do i need to do to be able to get it to orange?
Try reusing the colourless. It's not really damaging, so you can keep using it. Just make sure to have a good conditioner on hand.
Go to Beeunique and get some orange dyes there. They won't reoxidise your hair and won't damage it because none of them contain peroxide. You'll need to top up the orange a bit, but add some to your conditioner and that'll help a lot.
