How to protect my undercut from bleach?

I'm getting to the point now where I think my scalp will be OK for bleaching my roots, but I'd like to keep my undercut natural. Is there anything I could put on my undercut to protect it from accidental bleaching? My husband isn't keen on helping me bleach - he's OK with dye but bleach affects his breathing - and I don't know what else to do. I can't do it myself easily either (tried two mirrors, failed shamefully).

Vaseline. I know it's horrible getting it in your hair but it works as a good barrier.

I would just clip foil to it with those little crocodile clips.

I use duct tape - works great!

OMG duct tape is an amazing idea! Haha. I think I'll give the Vaseline a go first though - it needs re-shaving anyway so it won't matter if it's gunky πŸ™‚

Cheers!

The Vaseline worked a treat! Except for where hubby missed a spot, but then he gave me a grade 0 buzz on my undercut so you can't really see πŸ™‚
