How to get lighter than orange/peach

Hi Guys!
Awesome forum!!

So I had bright red hair that I would bleach once every couple months.

I, now, really want to get as light as possible! ideally white! or light grey!!

I bleached once, I did purple shampoo twice two days apart and bleached again today.

wella bleach powder and 20 vol.

I have been using argan oil to keep my hair feeling healthy.

My boyfriend said bleaching the second time didnt make much of a difference so I am hoping you guys can advise. I know it got like 20% lighter. I also know this will be a long process! haha.

I attached two pics of current color. I was using revlon color creme 600 before. its like firetruck red.

I know red+white are opposing and hard to get.

Ok, step away from the bleach! You need to use colour removers to remove artificial colour. Bleach isn't designed to remove other dyes, all you're doing at the moment is causing more and more damage for no real reason. Go out and get a colour remover (not stripper). I'm not able to see what country you're in, so can't advise on brands at the moment. Also, bleaching twice with in a month (which is seems like you've done?) is a really bad plan in itself.

There is also a very good possibility your hair is stained. Reds stain easily. It's not always possible to get the staining of at all, so be ready for that. But once you've done colour removers up to three times, then we can better access where you might end up. It can take up to a year to get to white from red or black safely. Unless you want to get a very sort hair cut any way...

As an aside, you said bleaching every couple of months. Was that just the roots to all over?

Thanks,

I am in Northern California. I will look for a good color hair remover, I noticed the worker at the hair beauty products place did not really know what she was talking about that's why I came here. i shop at sallybeauty.com we have many locations here.

Yeah I have a feeling the color is stained but I definitely dont have the patience to wait one year. My hair is pretty short and grows out about 2 cm in 3 weeks.

I used to bleach the bangs every couple months because the roots grow quickly but I also trim every three weeks.

Will post updates after the color remover. Should I continue with the purple shampoo?

I think color remover might not work, from reading other peoples experiences. I bought Lavender Ion color and I wonder if it will stick over this peachy color I have. What other colors would look good on my hair that are more of the fun new variety? I have been bright red for 2.5 years I just need a change.

Colour remover is the only thing that is likely to get the remnants of colour out. You can get Colorfix at Sallys, you may need more than one application

I just tested a part of it. I put 20 vol dev with lavender ion color. waited 40 min. and it made it like a light grey color but mostly didnt work at all. I am definitely not putting any energy into the lavender. That is a dream that wont come true. Any other color ideas? πŸ˜€

Try the colour remover anyway. It's more likely to work than bleach.

Darker pink or purple would work. Or orange. Pink with a bright orange chunk is gorgeous!

Try the color remover. It's been suggested for a reason πŸ™‚ the advice on here is great. It may not work for everyone but not even doing it you wouldn't know, it could work for you pretty well.
