My friend mentioned to me that she has a bucket of bleach powder that she doesn't intend to use anymore. I'm not too sure how long she's had it though, certainly a good few months.
I'm just wondering how long bleach powder (when stored correctly) will usually last. I'd certainly like to get my hands on some free bleach, but I want to make sure it will be safe/will lift appropriately.
I can always do a strand test when I do get it, to see if it still works at full potential and that.

I think it should be ok if it's not lumpy and damp or anything 🙂

A few months is fine. As marthakins says, as long as it's still a nice fine powder it should be ok.

A bucket used to last something like a year for me if stored correctly. I dunno after that, because i finished lol

My friend was saying it could actually be 1-2 years old. I guess it might still be ok, if stored correctly. I'll certainly do some strand tests when I get it.
