Help! Oopsies using hicolor magenta

So today I went to my Sally's and purchased the Loreal hicolor in magenta and a 30 developer. My hair was dyed dark brown about a level 2. Now I have used this color before on dyed brown hair at same level without any problems. But just my luck ive got hot roots (bright pink!) and a line on my hair seperating the dark from my roots. Its still magenta/burgandy but at about a level 3. While my roots are at a good level like 4 or 5. Any help to fix would be greatly appreciated lol. *boo*

If you did it before, you either didn't have roots or you were lucky for some weird reason.

Use a colour remover to get rid of as much of the brown as possible.

Yeah I agree, must have been a fluke last time, tint isn't made to lift tint so you would have been better using a colour remover first then the magenta, you still can use the colour remover but then that will take you to whatever level your lengths have been lifted to underneath. It might be a good idea to look into a direct dye such as Adore, Directions or (if you want something long lasting) Special Effects to redo your lengths to avoid damage?
