So a couple of months ago I decided to make a big change and go from a mid brown colour to blue! I bleached my hair with Jerome Russell, admittedly because I was too excited to go blue, once my hair had gone blonde I did not check my hair for any darker bits. So in my hair I do have some mostly unnoticeable darker streaks. When I put the blue on the streaks went especially green and now that it has all faded to a mint, it looks a bit ridiculous!! The advice I am after is how do I get rid of the green/ how do I get rid of all colour in my hair so I can get it blonde and then silver. I can't afford to go to a hairdresser so being able to do it from home would be really handy! Please help!!!!!!! I will be so grateful x
<<<friendly advice, be careful what colour you say is ridiculous... you never know what colour the person coming to answer might have π (to be fair, this was a long time ago, but it's happened a lot that someone says, "ugh, I'm left with this gross green" and I have that exact colour at the time lol)
What blue did you use? Have you tried a colour remover? What else have you done to remove the blue?
Just to warn you, going silver can end up being expensive even if you don't go to the hairdresser as it can take lots of processes. Especially if you have some staining.
Hi!! I didn't mean the colour ridiculous!!!! I meant that it's so patchy ahaha, sorry about that. I used Bleach London Blulini and Washed Out Mermaid on and off since I started off as a patchy bleached blonde. I've not tried colour remover, however about two days ago I bleached the darkest blue/green parts and it lightened a touch after about 40 minutes but I'm not sure if bleaching it repeatedly is a good idea but at the moment it's the only idea I've got! I saw some reviews on colour removers and some did say that on their green hair it didn't work? But if you've got a brand that you know works then I might have to try it! To be fair silver is a bit of a stretch, I'll just be happy to have colour all the same so I have a blank canvas to maybe try purple or pink? not sure though ahaha
Thanks!
you can also try lathering your hair in shampoo and leaving it under a plastic bag for a few hours or a baking soda paste and washing up liquid mix (dilute with water slightly) if the shampoo doesnt shift it. its less damaging than bleach but very drying like a colour remover is.
if it stains permanently how about making your way round the colour wheel to purple then fading it out to apply pink?
