Has anyone switched from platinum to highlights and did you regret it?

What made you switch ?

I sometimes feel like my all over platinum makes me look tacky and I hate how fragile my hair is. In terms of growth the full bleach actually is better because the root line looks worse with platinum highlights and I'm not naturally dark.

But at other times I love it all blonde and I know if I darken I cannot go back without completely destroying my hair.

Do you think platinum highlights mixed with lowlights is more classy than all over platinum blonde? Is it possible to add subtle lowlights and still keep a very blonde look?

I am consulting with my stylist next time I go in, not sure if I will make the change or not.

Any advice? I apologize for my hair OCD.

I think that, at this point, you really shouldn't be considering any permanent colours, be they lowlights or a total colour change.  You said in an earlier post that some of your hair is breaking off, and in this post you mentioned it was fragile.  In order to get weaved lowlights, your stylist would have to apply another permanent colour to your already fragile hair, and it might just melt off.

If you want to golden it up, you can get golden shampoos from John Freida that will add a bit of warmth back in to your hair.  It will have go all over, though.

I personally like more dimension, but I've been both flat bleach blonde and high/lowlighted, and I liked both. Right now I'm a golden blonde with almost white highlights and I like it.
