From blorange to a more neutral-ish gold toned blonde?

Hi everyone! I'm trying to get my blorange hair (L'oreal Preference 8GB Golden Iridescent Blonde) to more of a neutral color with some subdued gold tones in it. I attached a picture of the current color and a picture of my goal.

How do I get this at home? Obviously, regular box dye is not working for me. I think that Wella Color Charm's Sand Blonde is close to the color I want. But do I need to bleach first, then use the Color Charm? Would it work if I bleached with a 20 volume developer, gave my hair a rest for a week, then used the Wella Color Charm dye with a 10 volume developer?

You need to give your hair at least 4 weeks between peroxide products, unless you are doing a bleach bath and not a full bleach. You need to bleach past the orange stage if you want a more neutral tone, then i would suggest using a direct dye (such as adore) instead of box dyes. They give you better control with shades and don't do further damage
