Finally a realistic and helpful video about going blonde!

This is a GREAT video!  So glad she puts in a realistic time expectancy of a year as well as the fact that you will lose the ends of your hair.

So refreshing to see one that isnt "LOOK AT ME GAIZ BLONDE IN 24H LOLOL", I wish I've seen something like that two years ago ha. 🙁

Like!! Pity that there are so many people that wont listen and think their hair is somehow indestructible

the only thing I'm not keen on, is telling people to go to a professional and never to do it themselves. Obviously she's going to say that as she's a hairdresser herself... But we all know just how badly wrong hairdressers can be with going to blonde. At least a third to half the stories in the bleaching horror thread are from hairdressers being completely idiotic.

The last time I did it my hairdresser was great - but it is clearly, ahem, touch and go...

yeah i would never trust a hairdresser to dye/bleach my hair, they always seem to never listen to what i ask for when i ask them to  trim as little as possible, icome out with half my hair gone! so their not coming anywhere near me with a tint brush!

She is advocating hairdressers and salon products too much. You can go blonde gradually and nicely at home for much much cheaper. I dont like how it ounds like a marketing ploy. Hairdressers look out for each other because most of them are crap!

This was me the firs ttime I went blonde, watched loads of video's did my research etc and.. yeah lol wasn't what I expected at all!

well i have to disagree with 2 of her points, you CAN achieve it without going to the hairstylist (i actually had my hair destroyed my stylists) and you CAN find good products at the super market. They don't have to be necessarily saloon hair products. Other than that she is absolutely right.

These were the only issues I had with this video too; other than that it was great, I could have done with advice like this when I attempted to bleach multiple layers of black to platinum a few years ago 🙁

Good video 🙂 made me laugh though, I went from a level 3 to light ginger in one go using a box blonde! My hair survived though...
