My natural hair is now silver grey. I dyed it light brown and hate it, it faded within 2 weeks and is looking a bit orangey. What is the easiest way to get back to cool platinum blonde? I know nothing about colouring hair and I've never mixed my own peroxide etc. I have used box dyes often with no horrible surprises. (yet)!

The first thing I'd try is a colour remover.

Make sure it’s a colour remover, NOT stripper. If you let us know what country you’re in we might be able to suggest brands 🙂

Jo Bazz hair colour remover
ColourB4
Colourless hair colour remover
There are others, but these are ones I'd recommend. For once, those of us in the UK have a LOT more options than other countries 🙂
