Ok it's now gotten to the point I have to dye my roots! The Adore doesn't stick and now my roots are to the point they are way too noticeable. So...I've got various boxes of dyes in my cupboard and wondering if I can just use one of these. I've got two boxes of Loreal Castings in satin blonde, and another box of Clairol Nice and easy in light auburn. My natural hair colour is a mousy, ashy brown, the rest of my hair after using B4 is a light orangey sort of brown.
So, just need to use something that will lighten it a little and make the Adore stick. I'm feeling a bit nervous about how to dye just the roots everywhere and not touch the rest of my hair which is still recovering from past disasters. How do the rest of you do this? *stars*
Well I went ahead and dyed my roots using the satin blonde Clairol Castings. I only left it on 20 minutes like the instructions said. I'm not sure it really did anything though, my roots look pretty much the same. I will be putting some Adore on the roots next to see if I've at least done enough to make it stick!
By the way, I don't know how anyone does roots on the back of their head by themselves.....I gave up on it because I was too scared of dye getting on everything!

It will help it stick. Just hoping you didn't use the conditioner that came with it yet!
I do my roots with as many mirrors as possible, but it takes a LOT of practice!
Thanks, currently walking around the house with Adore dye and a plastic cap on my head, seems to be a common site these days lol.
Nope did not use the conditioner, I washed the Clairol dye out with clarifying shampoo to get it ready for the Adore dye. I wonder if I should've left the Clairol castings a bit longer though? I'm so afraid of ruining my hair again I was being overly cautious with it. I don't quite understand this Clairol Castings line of products, most are semi permanent but the lighter ones (like the one I bought). appear not to be.
Yes it must take a lot of practice to do the roots in back, a real talent I'd say!
