Hi everyone! I need some advice. As the title says  *boo* I tried DYI ways to get rid off some of the hair dye first - vitamin c, dandruff shampoo, dish soap etc and they are considerably lighter, a lot of the hair dye washed off so good progress! Naturally, I realise that this won't wash the hair dye out completely so I need advice. How should I proceed from now on? Since my hair was bleached in the first place, should I give it a few weeks and wait for the dye to fade even more, or should I use a colour remover on them - or bleach with olaplex?

A color remover is your safest and best option. You can use them up to three times.

Hi, thanks for responding! Do you know what are the chances of the colour remover turning my hair orange though? I read quite a lot about it but not many people seem to be using it on bleached hair so not sure what to expect! I'm also kinda afraid it might make them dry, as it just strips off everything, some people say it's even worse than bleach.

Colour removers don't damage hair because they don't alter the structure of the hair. They do dry the hair out which can cause damage to already fragile hair. If you are concerned about the condition of your hair use an Olaplex stand alone treatment prior to the colour remover.
Bleach will also turn brown dye orange, plus it will damage your hair, so a colour remover is the best option.
It may not be possible to get back to your original blonde though, permanent dyes on bleached hair tend to stain.

Hey, thanks so much for your advice! I wasn't really planning on going platinum blond again, but medium to light blond I guess. Is it best to use it now or should I wait for the dye to fade even more? They were dyed on Thursday.

The sooner you use the colour remover after dyeing the more effective it is supposed to be

I see, will try it later this week then, after an important meeting - in case things go wrong!
