Can you use cureplex when you bleach bath then use it again straight after with the toner (which also uses 20v)
And can or should you still do the coconut oil before bleach bathing with the cureplex?
I don't want to do a full bleach as my hairs a bit damaged after the orange hair dresser mess but need to fix this colour slowly before I go overseas in a month
Thanks for any help offered
I have no experience with cureplex, but if it can be used in the same way as Olaplex then yes.
You can use Olaplex to dilute the peroxide, and in any oxidative process, and it is still effective over coconut oil.
If you have damaged hair I would not use 20 vol with a toner, remember that bleach damage is cumulative, so it all adds up
Thank you.
Yes it's the same sort of thing as the other plex.
So just bleach bath it no toner?
Do all toners need developer ??
If not what would be a good one to use to get rid of the yellowish orange if the bleach bath is gentle?
In Australia I'm not sure what we have out here so used the wella t18 last week but really don't want to add extra stress to the hair if I don't need too
Bear in mind that no other product contains the same ingredients as Olaplex, or work in the same way as far as I know, so my advice could be wrong for Cureplex.
What exactly are you trying to achieve?
I prefer to tone with direct dyes as they are totally non-damaging. The Wella toners (I am not a fan, they are very ammonia heavy so not gentle at all) are just as effective with 10 vol (which would be half as damaging)
I wanted to go white but now thinking a dark blonde colour as I think might might be too hard to get to.
When you refer to direct dyes what is that exactly?
Like a box dye?
Now my hairs getting the orange tones back gggrrrrr what would you suggest?
I've used the pro voke intensive conditioners and shampoo and smother my hair in coconut oil daily and overnight .
No, direct dyes are non-oxidative dyes (ie don't need mixing with peroxide) such as Manic Panic or any of the dyes sold on this site.
You can tone yellow with violet for example, and because they are totally safe you can top up as often as you like, even add some dye to your conditioner and use every time you wash
A pic of your current colour and your goal would be helpful. What is your hairs history?
This is my hair now but seems really orange today
And two below are what I would like
I have been getting foils for the past 3yrs but as it was going so grey (Virgin hair ) the hairdresser bleached it all twice and it went bright yellow and orange,
I then used wella t18 and it cut out a lot of the yellow but now seems orange
Above what I want have to post others in another post sorry
It looks like a level 7 blonde in the top pic (before the toner) and you will need a level 10 for the light ash/silver shades you posted.
It looked much lighter in the other thread, which is more accurate?
Either way, your hair has been through a lot of processing recently. I would avoid anything with peroxide (bleach, oxidative toners) for at least a month.
Bleach damage can take around a month to start showing, and is permanent and cumulative. So wait and see how your hair is before any further processing.
Violet dye diluted in conditioner will keep the brassiness at bay in the meantime. You could also mix some into your Cureplex and do some stand alone treatments. (Again, assuming Cureplex works similarly to Olaplex, some of the 'plexes' on the market are just oils and silicones)
The last pics were the most recent.
Thank you for your help, much appreciated xxx
