Colouring advice?

Hello I have dark Asian black hair and dyed it an ash blonde (9A), to get my desired light brown colour. However, it's still pure black and the brown (light orange-red undertones-- which I've heard is normal for lightening dark hair) only shows up under good lighting or direct sunlight.
My hair looks healthy and fine (since I dyed it a few days ago and I don't occasionally use chemicals on my hair)  and the colour actually looks natural.

But I'm not really happy with the colour. I want a light brownish-medium hair colour. Like this picture . Basically this brown/ash-brown trend koreans have. and I really like it πŸ˜€
i figured this is miles more attainable than blonde hair and shouldn't be that hard of task.. koreans can? also people online can do it?
how can i achieve this colour?

Should I re-dye using a lighter blonde dye? To make it more brownish or darker
OR will that bring about more orange pigments and is it even strong enough to make my hair more brownish and less black :(( i'm really confused and i'm also new to hair colouring and stuff.

Here is how colour works on our asian hair LOL

Can you add a pic of your hair? You will need to use bleach if you want it lighter. There isn't enough lift in regular permanent dyes
There are products specifically for Asian Hair that bleach and colour in one step (basically high lift ash browns) that might be perfect for you.
Asian hair has a lot of pigment in it so it is difficult to lift, but you can achieve any colour you want (including blonde) with the right products

Thank you so much for replying though.
Honestly if I took a picture now it would only show black hair, and not the brown (ish) because it has to be at certain angle or with sunlight in it.
I want to list bleach out of the question. I just believe it's not worth it because if I do, I believe the orange/red pigment may come out more after bleaching on black hair?
Also I want a shade of Brown that suits my black hair and not too over the top. Making reapplication so much easier and simple.

Oooo I've heard of high lifts before, I've never tried them but I can't wait to try out the ash Brown one πŸ™‚ ( if I did a blonde high lift imagine how effective it would be in making it Brown? :O Or if it really does turn my hair blonde that's the scary part)
Since the red/orangness is there (albeit very weak, as stated at the start) but would the chance of dying over it cause it to become another colour? If so, would I need a colour stripper, before trying any sort of dye?

There is no way of lightening hair without bleaching it, the permanent dyes you are using also bleach the hair, just not enough which is why your hair is still too dark.
Any dark hair will have orange tones when lightened, that is the natural pigment being revealed.
Blonde hi-lift is just bleach with a toner included. Brown hi-lift is bleach with an ash brown toner included. if you choose a hi-lift remember you can only use it once, and then on your re-growth. It is the same as bleaching and then applying an ash brown dye, just all in one step.
