So if I was dirty blonde, then bleached all my hair, then went red for a couple months. My hair will go back to blonde? YAYYY.

It might, depends how much the red has stained your hair and what dye you used. Expect a ginger stage between red and blonde but it could work brilliantly and take you to that blonde after 1 or 3 applications.

Is there a time I should wait before re-applying? Or is one use as good as it'll do...if that makes sense...so there wouldn't be any point in doing it again because as much colour has been removed as is possible.

you can do it 3 times 🙂 i dont think you need to wait but i could be wrong. just always make sure to rinserinserinse so you dont have any problems with re-oxidising

Exactly - you don't NEED to wait, but if the colour is going to reoxidise then it may take a couple of days, so it's not a bad idea to wait 72 hours before clarifying again, drying and redoing it.

we generally advise waiting a week, just to be on the safe side. it's a royal pain in the but if it does reoxidise

thanks. i know to wait a week for anything with a developer but didn't realise this applies with a 2nd round of remover.

it's up to you. but personally id be so annoyed with being closeish to my goal & risk it reoxidising. if you're super careful & slow you should be able to avoid mishaps =)

thank you for this topic it's very helpful!

Unfortunately here we don't have colour B4 (i live in France),
but i found something similar: "Color Off" by Vitality's.

It sound like it's the same thing!

So i have a few questions about this^^

-there is a stabiliser (they say "The Stabiliser 3 is indispensable for fixing the result obtained and guaranteeing lasting hold.");
but after this i want to do a turquoise (by directions),  this stabiliser won't prevent the color to take in my hair?

-should i do the "color off" a few days before getting my hair turquoise,
or can i do everything the same day?

-if the first result of "color off" is not enough, should i have to wash my hair before do it again?

- No, shouldn't make any difference - it's just to return the hair to the pH (after starting a PhD I now want to write that 'Ph...') it should be at. Just as a word of warning it can be very drying, so try to make sure your hair isn't very tangly before you apply it because it will be really hard to wash out properly if it is.

-You can apply the turq straight after. In fact I'm guessing your hair will be a little bit dry after the color off, which will help your hair to suck up the colour.

- You can do another straight away, but it's usually a good idea to wait a few days (Scott Cornwall says 72 hours but I have seen a week mentioned, too). This is to give your hair time to stabilise, any re-oxidation to occur, and your natural oils to come back in before you clarify it again. Then wash your hair, dry it, and put the colour remover on.

As  I don't know that brand, it's hard to say for sure. Most of the info should be on or in the pack about how many times you can use it. But it depends if it has peroxide.

I would guess, but can not be sure at all, that you'd have no problems with turquoise after as I can't see a reason for it to deposit anything into the hair to prevent or block colour taking.

If it's like Colour B4 (and again, as I don't know I can't say for sure), you can use turquoise straight away. It's dyes with peroxide or bleach that you should avoid using straight away.

oh thank you ladies for your fast answer!

i just read the ingredients and there is "hydrogen peroxyd" but just in 3rd bottle: the stabiliser,
not in the two bottle of "color off"!

and they say i can do it twice.

and they say not to bleach the hair after that...

but if (i say if because perhaps it would be enough or not, we'll see) it's not fade enough (i have red hair and want turquoise hair), and i wait a weeks, can i do a bleach bath?

i'm sorry for all the questions...  *gun*

This forum is so helpful for me!! there's no french forum like this where people talk about hair dye and all that stuff like you, no place no talk about our crazy hair! so i'm glad i found you  *thx*  *1*

Is it definitely Hydrogen Peroxide and not Sodium Hydrogen Phosphate? In which case I would definitely wait a week before repeating/trying a bleach bath, if not a bit longer (if you can stand it!).

Weird. I wonder why there's peroxide in it?

Is it this stuff? http://www.vitalitys.it/en/colore/color-off.html
