If your hair is gummy, you NEED to get the damage cut out. CB4 is very drying, so i wouldn't risk it. What colour was your base? I'm assuming it's faded so quick due to your damaged hair. Get a cut, baby it & go from there.

It was bleached before it was dyed, the colour went on a light blonde. If it's gonna do more damage then I'll get it cut, I just wondered if it would do it any harm but I don't want to risk making it worse. Thanks πŸ™‚

To be honest, the colour probably washed out so quickly because of the damage.  Avoid permanent dyes or bleach and get a trim and invest in some Joico K-Pak reconstructor.  Only use true semis that are 6-10 wash dyes until you've grown out all of the damage.

Colour B4 isn't damaging, but it is very drying so it's not advisable to use on already badly damaged hair like Pippa said.

Well I have just gave colour b4 a shot as my undercut was still pretty much unfaded plum it didn't do much to the undercut maybe lightened slightly to a pinky hue, the rest of my hair it jas took the majority of my faded hair to a yellow and dark blonde and I have a few streaks of plummy violet so parts of my hair it worked other bits didn't currwntly have a red on to see what happens :/

Hey guys,

I have had bleached blonde hair for around 4 years I chucked an xxl purple punk semi perm dye on it... It has faded a lot now so I want to get rid of it and go back to blonde. Any ideas on what Colourb4 will do on a semi perm dye with a bleached base?

I am scared πŸ™

Most have reported having better success with Scott Cornwall's Decolour Remover on semipermanent colours... but it certainly can't hurt anything to try ColourB4.  It seems to be hit or miss, but if you've only done one application of the semi, then you likely won't have too much staining to contend with.  πŸ™‚

Purple can't turn orange because it has no orange tones.  It will go pink, blue or silver.

pretty indecisive at the minute not sure if i should try the Colour B4 or just try a bleach bath was atomic pink it had faded out a bit but directions plum went over it and it was very deep bluish purple and its being a pain its not shifting i think its rooted to the atomic pink for dear life ive had all sorts on it, not sure if i should try this or just see if coconut oil and a bleach bath can do some good, my hairs in very good nick and its been 6 month or more since its had a bath on it? ohhh what to do!

It's always worth trying a colour remover first, why do extra damage if you can get more out first? Though I've always had best results from Scott Cornwall Decolour Remover.

Don't be disappointed if it doesn't remove much/any, most never completely get Atomic Pink out even with lots of bleaching.

right sounds like a plan i will look for that and get a few and give it a whirl i'm lucky my hairs in good nick, but it seems if you have a sfx on then put any thing over it they stick like glue i put this plum on and must have washed it 30 times and even h&s vit c and all sorts and its going nowhere i'll give sfx one thing it lasts

need help!! so i used colourb4 twice a week apart to get from black to gingerish. i then waited a while longer and tried to apply a semi-permanent dark blonde and it didnt work at all!!! so i decided to highlight my hair using a cap with bblonde (high-lift) using 40vol and guess what it hardily worked again!!!? never had this problem since i used colourb4, its well over 2 months since i used it. yesterday i bought a blonde 8 hair dye did a strand test and next to no result/change!! What is going on!? hair isnt in bad condition at all, its not amazing but not damaged either, just average.
heard about hair fillers, and that maybe thats the problem but im sick of spending money and nothing working
someone help??

Please don't use any more lifting products for at least a month!  40 vol is super-strong.

Sometimes hair is stained and then nothing will lift it out, not even bleach.  What brand of black did you use?  You can't expect to go from black to blonde in the space of a week, or even a month.  It is a very long process and you will have several months of ginger in between (yes, it takes about a year).  The reason it's such a long process is because blacks contain red, and reds (as you are now finding out) are the number one most difficult colour to remove from hair.

Has anyone had any luck using fading techniques AFTER a colour remover?

Also I know you can use them up to 3 times, but is that each different brand 3 times or 3 times for all of them? I've done a Decolour and a Jo Baz and from my understanding they work in different ways, so can I do 2 more Decolours do we think?

I'm not entirely sure for either question I'm afraid so hopefully someone else can help you out there. But I will say I did do the head & shoulders fade method after I decoloured on my alpine green before, and it did seem to fade a bit more. (just remember to condition well!)
