Colour B4 ---->disaster!

Really hope you can help... or pass me the tissues, anyway  :laugh:
A couple of months ago I had my hair pretty natural, a light brown. Because I noticed a couple of grays  ::), and because I was kind of bored, I decided to try a ready made dye, you know, the supermarket type, I think it was a l'oreal, anyway it was a 6.0 and I know it was a mistake, I should have gone for a 6.1 (oh yeah I HATE red tinges and every single dye on me turns out red in time, and I know this, and I fall for it every time). So yesterday I got myself a nice box of Colour B4, the extra strenght type  - yeah, it probably was another not-so-smart move, but I figured that because red is SOOO hard to get rid of, this would do. Wrong. Oh so wrong. I now have light copper hair. All of it. Light copper. Where on earth this came from, I don't know. What to do? I have two options:
1) I take the plunge and go for a violet, I was thinking Speciale Effect Wild Flower. What scares me is what happens when color starts to fade. What mess will I be left with?
2) If I chicken out and just want to go back to a nice light brown, what should I use to cover and counteract this hateful copper? I dream of ash brown, I love ash, ash is my friend!

Any help? Pretty please?

It went copper because the dye had lightened your hair underneath the colour it deposited, which reveals warm tones. Pretty much all permanent dyes will do this because they lighten your hair as well as depositing colour.

A heavily blue toned purple will probably be muddy over your current colour, you could either choose a much warmer, pink based purple or lighten your hair more. A purple semi permanent dye such as special effects deep purple or adore purple rage (both sold by beeunique) would probably work over your current colour.

For an ash brown, I'm thinking an ash tone semi dye, such as medium brown by adore might work. You can also make toners out of violet /blue dyes mixed with a lot of conditioner to tone out yellow/orange tones. I'm not great with natural colours so someone else might be able to advise more there.

๐Ÿ˜ฎ See, I NEVER knew that!
I also noticed this morning that I had some reaaally old blonde streaks that I totally forgot about which now are in full display...

I mentioned Wild Flower because in the ubleached gallery I saw a picture of a girl with Wild Flower over unbleached brown hair and the outcome was lovely. I also quite like deep purple, though.

What do you think it would happen if I tried to tone my hair as they are now with blue+conditioner? I do have a bottle of Special Effects Blue Velvet...

As Marthakins said, its probably from the dye stripping a bit of your natural color. I do see some darker spots which may be the red undertones of the dye, so you could try another box of color remover to see if any of those darker red tones fade a little.
