So everyone knows, coconut oil has a melting temp of 76 degrees F/24 degrees C. Resting body temp is about 98.6 degrees F/37.0 degrees C. It's not likely at all to solidify in your hair unless you live in the artic as your body temp will keep it liquid. Especially if you pile it on your head and wrap cling film around it.

That could have been because it's warmer at the moment. If it's close to 24 degrees C it'll be starting to melt.

I just contacted by email two shops that could potentially sell virgin coconut oil, asking them if they could get it for me or have it on stock, stressing the fact that I need virgin coconut oil and nothing else. If they agree and the price doesn't reach 10€ (seeing how everyone else gets it for less I would think they are ripping me off, I'll buy it and hopefully be able to go blue soon sjfhsjf. If not... does anyone know how to make your own coconut oil by buying coconuts? xD I can totally imagine myself having to take that route. I thought living in Spain I wouldn't have a hard time finding this, but apparently at least my city is lacking on it lol.

xana, do you use ebay at all? virgin coconut oil is available there & it's not outrageously priced... i wouldn't know where to even start about pressing your own!

With mailing, it becomes pricey. That's why I'm looking for it here first. But if I find nothing I'll just have to ebay it. Haha it was one of the first places I looked at! :3 You could give me the link to a coconut oil that works for everyone and isn't too expensive for reference in case I need to use ebay though ^^

I use my tub of coconut oil to tell me how warm a day it is rather than using the weather report πŸ˜‰

But yeah, if its warm, it turns to liquid so buying the ones you see that are a solid mass, its just that its not warm yet, its still oil. And no, it's not going to turn into a soild in your hair hehe

I love using mine but I sometimes go overboard and end up with oil running down my face and neck, not nice haha!

Hello!

After reading this I tried to find coconut oil, and it's hard! Anyway, I found one store (Spar) who were willing to order some in. Problem was they couldn't see what brand it was (due to it being saturday or something), but, it was ecologic (is this the same as organic?), and is meant for cooking, in other words, it's an oil. Not the blocks/tubs I've been reading about.

If it's 100% virgin coconut oil, does that mean what they're ordering in is not what I'm supposed to use? Will an 100% virgin coconut oil never be able to be an oil in a bottle, because of the solidifying?

Really bad explanation, but I hope you understand, and are willing to answer πŸ™‚

Edit: picked up the coconut oil yesterday, and turns out I'd just misunderstood them.. *heh* ...so disregard my question πŸ™‚

Uhg, all in all, if I was to order it for them to send it here to Spain, that would be 17€ all in all. I hope to find it here otherwise it will be expensive... but on the other hand, it's not like I'll use a ton of it at one go so... yeah. Will keep this link around >_>. And thank you for telling us!

So, I leave the coconut oil on my hair for 16hours (a night), then I rince with warm water and shampoo, then dry my hair.
There are fine, look nice, I think it has works πŸ™‚ I just wanted to try, just to see how hydrating this stuff is !

Next step : before bleaching !
