I've been eating many, many bounty bars since using this stuff. I have it on my hair now and I crave another one

I've finally bought the coconut oil.  I got some old hair extensions here, and first I'm making some tries on it before make it on my own hair.
As I'm trying to make my hair grow really long, and really afraid of hurting it so much ending up cutting it, I'm making a lot of tries on hair extensions, and well, coconut oil is really working!  πŸ˜‰

What I can add here about these tries, is that if your hair is really really a mess, don't even try to bleach bath it even with coconut oil, cause even if the damage with coconut oil on is little, for an already very damaged hair, this little damage can be the death of your hair.  :-X

But if your hair is like at least "medium quality" (not so perfect but not so damaged), coconut oil is really a bless!

I'm just waiting to get my Directions hairdye to start the bleach bath on my own hair with the coconul oil, and surely I'm going to picture it to show here.  ;D

Thought I'd bring this back up since we've had a lot of stories of bleach damage lately, so I thought it would be good to stress again, that coconut oil as a preventative measure from bleach and peroxide damage is awesome.
Obviously, like Julity just said, if your hair is already fried to begin with, doing another bleach even with coconut oil will probably still be too much to handle for your hair.

I've done 2 bleach baths over the past 2 weeks. Coconut oil'ed my hair beforehand, left it one for 60-90 mins before putting the bleach bath. Hair feels just the same as it did before the BB, although I have been putting deep conditioner on my hair for an hour after I've washed the bleach off lol.

Don't think I am permitted to post links yet but there are a couple of interesting articles which include coconut oil's protective properties on the NaturallyCurly website, written by Tonya McKay. The articles are entitled "Mineral Oil versus Coconut Oil: Which is Better?" and "Curl Chemist Helps us Understand Oils and Butters". Hopefully that is enough information if anyone wishes to Google them.

I purchased KTC brand coconut oil from the World Foods section of my local Tesco, currently just Β£1.70 for 500ml tub!! πŸ˜€ In any UK city with a significant Pakistani/ Indian population you should be able to find coconut oil for cheap in Asian supermarkets.

I just did a bleach bath today after putting coconut oil on and leaving it for about an hour, and it's not helped at all! Or, maybe it has, and it would have been worse without, but the bottom inch of so of my hair is all crispy. πŸ™

Coconut oil really sped up the bleaching process for me! I had to rinse after about 10 minutes! It scared me a bit actually.

I bought the Perfectly Pure tub from H&B yesterday and put it on last night to sleep with it in and topped it up this morning but I've noticed it leaves my ends feeling kinda straw-like with it on :/ Anyone else have this happen?

I'm sorry if I'm asking a stupid question here. I was wondering which 'version' of coconut oil I am better off buying, as the Superdrug version is Β£1.50 right now. Is it actually the 'proper' version which is suitable for this type of bleaching? I'm also looking at some on Amazon, but I'm a tad confused as to whether I should be buying the 'Coconut Virgin Oil (solid)' or 'Coconut Fractionated Oil' I'm really sorry if this is a silly question!
