I have been dying my hair jet black for years and wanted to go blonde or light brown many times. So in the past I have really destroyed my hair and then went back dark. I decided to go to a salon this last December I had jet black slightly damaged hair. My stylist started giving me highlights. So from December to this july I have been getting highlights and toned. Well I wanted to save money and do my roots at home my sister helped we used a 20 developer and lightener from sallys left it on 40 mins. It didn't lift enough it was very bright orange gold. I tried the t18 recommended to me by my local sally's it just made the parts that were blonder a gray purple hue and made the rest oranger. My hair from about my nose down is darker. So I went to my local sallys  she told me to bleach just a little more so I went in and just bleach my roots again. Second time it was still orange but less more like a light gold copper orange.  So I went to another sallys and she gave me a sky blue color pigment and told me to wash my hair with that in my shampoo and it gave me a mint cast so I did a 20 min bleach bath of 20 vol and shampoo. I have id say compromised hair. What can I do to make this even?  I really don't want to go brunette. I have been using as little heat as possible and doing olive  and coconut oil treatments and using sulfate free shampoo and conditioner washing every 2 days. I don't know what to do about my roots and from the purple  and blue shampoo its like orange gold to and ashier platinum in spots down to like sandy blonde  highlighted ends.... I am a legit mess. How can I fix this?

Well, stop doing anything in a panic first πŸ™‚

What colour is your hair naturally? I can't work out if you actually said or not.

What bleach powder did you use? That can make a huge difference.

Lastly, don't listen to Sally's employees.
