Yup. Grey/white highlights. And, nope, not what I asked for. At all!
I have natural brown hair, not too dark not too light, and I wanted some natural honey/golden highlights in my hair. Emphasis on the natural! So at the salon I had some highlights in then a toner (I had reddish/auburn hair before so this actually evened that out!).
The result... Not good! Some of the highlights are grey/white/ash/yuk!
I am going back to the salon, but not for another week! The stylist said the white highlights will change in a few washes- but I don't know how try that is?! And I can't bear to leave the house because I know I don't suit them.
I have read about the lemon juice/conditioner at evening things out, and getting rid of the grey tones, and I have also read about getting a toner to put in at home.
But I'd like to hear your advice, and maybe stories of your own too, of what to do!
Thank you lovely people!
They will fade. The toner will gradually wash out. Use clarifying or dandruff shampoo if you want it to happen faster.
No idea about the lemon/conditioner mix. Doesn't sound that likely to me.
Thank goodness!
I will give that a go- thank you.
